Acreage on the park edge · 4.9 km from our baseRemovalists Terrey Hills
Terrey Hills sits between Garigal and Ku-ring-gai Chase, and it moves like the country it borders: acreage blocks, long private drives, and houses you cannot see from the road. Out here the truck plan is not a detail of the move. It is half the move.
The acreage questions we ask first
Every one of these changes how the day is crewed and staged, and every one is cheaper to answer on a callback than on your driveway:
- Can a heavy truck take the drive? Gravel, culverts and soft edges after rain decide whether the big truck comes up or a shuttle runs from the road.
- What are the gates and clearances? Entry gates, low branches, and the turning room at the house end. A truck that cannot turn must reverse the whole drive, and that gets planned, not improvised.
- Where does the load actually live? Acreage households spread: the shed, the studio over the garage, the stable tack room. We list the buildings so the crew and the hours are honest.
- Anything the ute has been putting off? Acreage moves carry things suburban moves never see: workshop benches, ride-ons, a kiln. Say so early and the right gear is on the truck.
When the drive genuinely will not take a truck, we say so and plan the shuttle leg openly, in the hours, at the same rate. No surprise "access fee" appears on any invoice of ours.
Crew and rate for acreage days
Most Terrey Hills houses are big, and the carries are long even when they are flat. That usually means 4 movers and two trucks at $500 an hour, because two trucks turn a long drive into a rolling shuttle instead of a bottleneck. A smaller cottage or a partial move runs happily at $350 with three movers. The callback settles it before you book, as always.
Oxford Falls and Duffys Forest acreage gets exactly the same treatment; they share the terrain, so they share the method.
